Ahh, vacation time. Let’s face it….we all need a little break from reality every now and then. Travel, travel, travel! My bestie and I have a tradition to go on an annual trip together – and I must say, it’s the best idea we’ve come up with! We decided to go to the good ‘ol ciudad de Mexico this year, which was AMAZING – but I’ll get into that in some upcoming blog posts. For now, let’s talk about why going on a trip with your best friend is essential, and why you should go ahead and click that ‘book now’ button together ๐
- Planning is a fun experience to do together. Start those pinterest boards, google docs, and endless travel chats…you’re going on vaca! Not to mention, you could even coordinate your outfits together like my bestie and I did. ๐
- The memories will be unforgettable. Your camera roll (and brain) will be filled with so many crazy fun memories that you can look back on together and smile about ๐
- Sharing is caring. You can split everything together and save on some costs – hotel fees, food, uber rides, the list goes on.
- The company is the best. I mean…who else would you really want right by your side to experience new places and explore new things together?
- The many hours of catch-up time. You’ll have so much time together…so obviously you can use it to catch up on what’s been going on in each others’ lives!
- Similar interests, similar activities! If you’re besties, you likely share the same interests – so it probably won’t be a struggle trying to agree on where to go or what to see. Easy peasy!
- Safety in numbers. Y’all have each other’s backs, and will always be looking out for each other. Be safe and smart together!
- You can figure things out together. Not good at directions? Together, you’ll be able to figure where to go. In a foreign place where the people speak a different language? Well, this was me and my bestie – and it was such a cool experience trying to learn the language together.
- Your bestie will act as your photographer, and vice versa. Okay, maybe this one is just for us IG obsessed gals…but still. You won’t feel awkward having to ask a random to take a ton of pics for you in front of that scenic view!
- You’ll get to know each other better. Traveling with your bestie takes your friendship to a whole new level, no matter how strong your friendship is already!
