I have to admit – one of my favorite parts of special occasions or attending events is the part where you get to DRESS UP. I’ve always been a super girly girl and dresses are my jam. When I lived in Texas and Minnesota, I would say most people dress pretty casual for the most part when they go out – well not me! I never minded being the most dressed up, because I take pride in my dressy style 🙂 New York has been perfect for me because it’s basically the norm to be really dressed up at any event. When I was on a family vacation in Vegas earlier this summer, I stumbled upon a new store that I haven’t heard of before – ANGL. As I shopped around, I noticed that all of their pieces are super trendy and totally affordable – definitely my type of store! My birthday dinner was coming up and I had nothing to wear yet, so I was searching for the perfect dress to say YES to. I was shopping with my mom (one of my very own style icons/also a shopaholic like myself), and she actually found this one for me. It was like love at first sight! The black roses print is just so CUTE and unique – I knew the dark scheme would go perfectly well with a pop of color. I think the sweetheart neckline adds an extra touch of femininity and is also super flattering. The dress is made out of bandage material that flares out in just the right places. My mom was sweet enough to buy this one for me as an early bday gift, cause she knew I couldn’t live without it! It’s still in stock – so if you have a special occasion coming up, I highly recommend this one (wearing a size small for reference). Note: When I was shooting in these photos, I wore both black heels and pink heels so y’all would be able to see the difference in adding that pop of color to your feet!
