Namastay In Bed

It’s been about a month since I moved into my new apartment on the east side of NYC (LOVING my new neighborhood by the way), and drumroll please…my room is finally complete! I’ve actually moved apartments every year since freshman year of college – I’m crazy, I know. I really liked my apartment last year, but since my bestie from Minnesota (fellow blogger gal Sana) was moving to NYC – it was a no brainer that I would be moving! I get really tired of bedroom themes pretty easy, so I decided to switch it up and start shopping for a new bedding set. I am super picky when it comes to anything related to bedroom decor, but after hours and hours of online bedding shopping – I finally landed on the perfect one from PB teen.

I know what y’all are thinking…you are a quarter of a century old and still shopping at PB teen?! But I LOVE PB teen bedding, and I personally think most of their merchandise could fit people of multiple ages. The bedding I chose is from their Emily + Merritt Collection – so feminine and chic; just take a look and you will literally fall in love with EVERYTHING. If I had an unlimited budget, I would’ve totally gone all out with the decorations. I was going for that black/white/gold/pale pink color scheme – so gorgeous! I already had my black and white striped sheets from last year, so I only ordered two pillowcases and the duvet cover. The ‘bed of roses’ print is beautiful – even better in person. The quality is great and it’s super soft. I love this bedding so much that it’s really, really hard to get out of bed in the morning (as if it wasn’t hard enough already!)

I also loved the PB teen throw pillows with the set, but they were a little out of my budget…so I ordered some throw pillows from Target and Ashley Furniture. I love my ‘Good Morning Gorgeous’ throw pillow from Target – cause who doesn’t need a little compliment to start the day 😉 ? And then a simple black lip print throw pillow (PS…there are many more varying colors in stock). Lastly, I ordered an adorable gold sequin bow pillow to complete the set (this is my favorite). As for my wall, I’ve literally had that chandelier wall decal since college and it still sticks! I like to think it adds a touch of classiness 🙂 I’d love to hear what y’all think about my finished room – feel free to leave a comment!
