Curls with HerStyler

Just like any other typical girly girl, hair styling has always been a big deal to me and a huge passion of mine. Fun fact: when I was in high school, I had a ‘side job’ where I would do girls’ hairstyles for school dances (haha yes, even had a business mindset as a teen!). I have naturally straight hair, but I absolutely LOVE the way my hair looks when I curl it. My bathroom is overflowing with different curlers because I always like to experiment with new ones. A lot of you sweet girls who follow me on Instagram are always complimenting my hair, so I’m here to tell you how exactly I get my curls!

I recently partnered with HerStyler to try out the 3P Curler set – I must say I am a HUGE fan and it is most definitely a favorite. I love curling wands more than the typical curling iron, because it doesn’t have that extra clip that leaves a visible crease in your hair. There are two different settings for heat, but I set it to the maximum for all of my looks. When I curl my hair, I find that it’s easier to clip up half of my hair first and then curl in sections – but depending on how much hair you have, you may want to clip up more or less! Starting at about eye level, I grab an inch or two of hair and curl away from my face. Note: to achieve a more beachy/wavy look, alternate between curling away and then towards your face. I hold the hair around the barrel for about 3-5 seconds (I don’t like my curls SUPER tight) – totally depends on how tight you want your curls to be, but to prevent damage, don’t hold it on there for too long! I also have pretty thick hair, but not a lot of it – so it took me only about 15-20 minutes to curl my whole head.
