Holiday parties are popping up everywhere, now that we are getting so close to Christmas! Parties with families, friends, coworkers, and +1’s are so much fun and make the holiday season the best time of the year. With all the parties, it’s all about finding the perfect holiday outfit! This holiday season, it’s not a secret that the top trend is velvet. Totally a personal opinion, but velvet dresses are by far my favorite party look (right next to sequin dresses, of course 😉 ).
There are a lot of different stores and online shops to find a velvet dress, but I’m totally swooning over mine from SammyDress. It’s a beautiful deep red / maroon color – literally the perfect color for Christmas! This stylish dress has thin spaghetti straps (not adjustable) and the length is to your mid calf. It’s really form fitting, so don’t eat too many gingerbread cookies before your party (haha just kidding…that’s literally what I’ve been doing this whole month). The velvet material is so soft and the dress is really comfy. It also comes in navy blue, and is LESS than $12. I know, how is that even possible?! Most of us are on a budget especially during the holiday season because of the gift-giving frenzy, am i right? It’s nice not to break the bank but still look like a million bucks 😉
Another holiday favorite is faux fur. This clutch bag is also from SammyDress, and I can’t stop wearing it wherever I go! One side has a crocodile embossed pattern, and the other side is all fur. It’s a foldover clutch, and is a great size with a ton of space. The clutch also comes with a detachable strap, so if you’d rather not hold it all night long…it’s super convenient! I had a maroon velvet choker that matched perfectly with this dress, but a plain black one would also look great! The cut goes a little low, so it’s good to wear a necklace that can easily balance out all the exposed skin. Lastly, I wore my fave shiny silver heels (you may recognize these from my last blog post 😉 ) …but I just can’t get enough of them!
