Why Fashion is a Lifestyle

I get asked this question all the time, why do you have such a passion for fashion? Seems like an easy answer for any fashion blogger. Typical dudes get that exciting feeling and adrenaline rush from playing or watching sports, right? Well, I’m a totally girly girl and embarrassingly don’t know anything about sports (other than what my dad or bfs in the past have attempted to explain to me) – so I can’t fully understand, but I try to relate my passion for fashion to something like that.

When I walk into a store or a mall (or even online shopping), I get an adrenaline rush and feel like the happiest girl in the world! Shopping is a legit hobby (anyone who disagrees, I am so down to have a debate about it 😉 ). It’s such a fun feeling to be on the hunt to find the perfect piece that shows off your style and individuality. When I’m feeling down, shopping can always raise my spirits and mood. No matter where I am, I always have fashion on my mind and love looking around to see what people chose to wear that day. Living in New York, I get inspired every day by the unique street styles I come across.

As I put away laundry and stuff my overflowing drawers with more clothes, sometimes I wonder if I have a legit problem. It’s so hard for me to not find an excuse to buy something new! It’s like a game – using your creativity and personal style to find pieces and accessories that fit perfectly together. I love how there’s no right or wrong when choosing what to wear. Everyone does it different – and that’s what’s so interesting about it! Fashion is always changing, evolving. Take a look at what people wore even a mere 10 years ago, and it’s so different today (YOUR style is also so different today)! It’s crazy how many fashion icons and influencers out there that come together to shape the current trends.

Fashion blogging has been such a great outlet for me to showcase my personal style and hopefully influence girls in a positive way! I’ve received those silly awards in high school/college about being ‘most fashionable’, but I’m most proud of the way I have somehow turned my true passion into a lifestyle through this blog.
