Well, looks like it’s the last day in June…my golden month is officially over ๐ June has been filled with so many exciting life events for me: 2 years living in NYC, my 26th birthday, 1 year at my job, and last but not least…1 year of blogging! June has been really great to me, and I’m excited to end the month on a fabulous note – with this blog post.
I’ll start off by saying that blogging has honestly changed my life. I feel like that probably sounds so lame to people, but it’s so true. It started out as something that I was simply inspired to do, but I never realized the extent of my life that it would become. It’s evolved from just a hobby of mine to a part of my lifestyle. I’m so passionate about fashion (plus beauty and other tidbits!), and I love being able to have a voice online + share and (hopefully) inspire my followers on a regular basis! It’s become a priority of mine – and not those kinds of priorities that you dread doing – but something so important to me that I truly WANT to do. When I went through a tough breakup this year, it helped get me through it by shifting my focus to concentrate on something that makes me happy. My blog keeps me motivated and excited; I’m always striving to work with new brands and deliver the best content that I can. It’s never been a stress to me – it’s hard work (believe me), but it’s a FUN kind of hard work that I feel proud of.
I just really can’t believe it’s been a year of blogging! A year of learning something so new, and working to grow and achieve more everyday. It’s so exciting because the fun never stops – being able to promote new brands, gaining opportunities and attending more events, meeting new blogger friends, learning from others who have been in the blogging game longer…the list goes on! There’s obviously been a few hiccups here and there this year (as every blogger can tell you) – and bloggers’ lives may seem super glamorous, but in reality it’s a lot of hard work, dedication, and overcoming obstacles. Blogging truly takes a lot of time management, scheduling and organization. But it’s ALL WORTH IT!
Shoutout to each set of individuals who have made The Livstyle possible:
Brands – thank y’all SO much for believing in me. When I started in the very beginning with a couple hundred followers, there were so many brands that reached out and wanted to work together. Every brand that I’ve collaborated with this year has been super sweet and easy to partner with. I’m so honored and appreciative of every item that I’ve been able to promote + every time I’ve been regrammed by a brand. I’ve enjoyed spreading the word about some of the most amazing brands, and look forward to new + continued partnerships this year!
Blogger Friends – I’m so thankful for all the adorable blogger gals I’ve met and friendships I’ve made this year…at blogger events, NYFW, through mutual friends. I love spending time with y’all (shoutout to my NYC gals, especially the ones that I had fun blogger days with!), and I also love interacting with the ones that I haven’t met yet. Y’all are some of my biggest supporters – I appreciate every sweet message and feel SO happy/special when y’all have come to me asking for advice.
Followers – Lastly, my followers are so amazing! Family, friends, people I’ve never met in real life…each and every person that has supported me throughout this process has helped shape The Livstyle. Every like and comment truly means the world to me. I don’t take anything for granted, and I couldn’t thank y’all enough for all the positive feedback and love that I’m lucky enough to get everyday.

Funny story about these photos. The day I was trying to shoot, it started POURING (thanks Apple maps, for lying to me and not predicting any rain). My photographer is the best (shoutout to Dan Wagner…he’s amazing) and we ended up rescheduling, but the day this happened was the worst. I picked up the balloons from the store, but as soon as it started pouring the balloons started floating less. I was freaking out and was going to go back to the store to ask if they would replace them with new ones, but I couldn’t even get there because it was raining SO hard. It was cold, I hadn’t eaten all day, and I was wearing a skirt that I couldn’t really move in (so no running in the rain). I decided it was best to just uber home…but all the ubers were surge pricing at like $50! I finally thought ‘oh well’ and requested an uber, but then the uber couldn’t find me and I was left standing out in the rain, soaked. On top of everything, MY PHONE DIED! Luckily, I had my work phone with me – so I called my mom bawling, not knowing what to do. And let me just preface that statement by the fact that I RARELY ever cry, haha! I also documented all this on snapchat – my poor followers. Luckily, everything worked out in the end and we managed to get some good shots in the next day ๐ #BLOGGERPROBLEMS
P.S. – I’ve been totally living in ruffles lately, thanks to Shein! Shop my look (this unique, classy + little ruffled ) for UNDER $40 total ๐
