Go shorty, it’s my birthday, it’s my birthday. Y’all! I’m officially 27 years old and it’s just CRAZY to me. I feel like I was just in my younger 20’s and suddenly I’m almost hitting 30 now ๐ Luckily, every year that we get older we get a little wiser I suppose! I’m not huge on birthdays, but it is super special to me to celebrate with my loved ones. I had a birthday pool party to kick off the week and had fun bday dinners with my friends/bf this weekend. Every birthday wish text, phone call, and social media comment makes me so happy & I truly appreciate them all – I feel so blessed and lucky for the many sweet and kind words.
Since I’m turning the big 2-7, I thought I’d share 27 facts about me that y’all may not know!
- I got food poisoning twice from pizza, so I don’t like pizza (literally the only person in the world, probably!)
- My eyesight is terrible – I’ve had glasses since 1st grade, and I’m pretty sure my prescription makes me technically legally blind.
- My favorite animal is the harp seal. I did a project on them in middle school and loved them ever since.
- I’ve still never traveled outside North America. I know, I lead a sheltered life ๐
- I have watched The Bachelor/Bachelorette since the very first season…however it’s the only reality TV that I will watch.
- It’s my dream to be a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.
- I can’t watch scary movies – I’m a total scaredy cat.
- In an alternate reality, I’ve wanted to do these random jobs at some point in my life: news reporter, astronaut, cake designer.
- My favorite movie is Bridesmaids.
- I don’t ever drink soda or carbonated drinks – yuck!
- I’m a total night owl and definitely NOT a morning person. I can never fall asleep earlier than 11 PM.
- I don’t like crispy things…toast, fries, etc.
- I’m obsessed with eyelash extensions, whitening my teeth, and getting my nails done.
- I dye my hair jet black or blue black. It’s naturally dark brown.
- I said my Rs like Ws when I was little, and had to go to speech class when I was in elementary school.
- Cookies are my weakness.
- I LOVE babies and toddlers…I think they are so cute and they make me so so happy. But no, I do not want kids anytime soon.
- I’m a total OCD person in life and at work – super clean & organized, Type A personality.
- My parents tried to get me to play piano when I was younger – that was a fail…I am so not musically talented.
- I really really want to go skydiving, but I’m not sure if I would ever be brave enough to.
- Cockroaches can legit make me cry…I’m deathly afraid of them and have never killed one in my life!
- I’m a sucker for inspirational/motivational quotes.
- I LOVE to read fictional books and wish I had more time to.
- I’m such a spelling Nazi.
- New York and Austin are my favorite cities.
- I’m oddly really good at U.S. Geography and could probably identify any state that I see an outline of.
- I get complimented the most on my smile – which is totally ironic because I had the worst teeth in middle school and had to have braces for 3 years!
