Way up high, I feel blessed…that it’s Summer, and I get to wear allllll the shorts I want! I’m originally a Texas gal, so of course shorts are one of my fave outfit pieces – especially in this NYC heat! The best part about summer style is that most pieces are so easy to rock – everything tends to be so cute, comfy, and versatile.
A big trend this Summer has been those high waist, tie-front shorts that we all have been seeing literally everywhere. These babies have been so popular, and I can see why! They are so flattering on any figure, and show just the right amount of leg to make it look like you’ve got legs for days (trust me, I would know – these make me look like I’m so tall when in reality, I’m so petite…only 5 feet!). I snagged these cute from  and they have definitely been on repeat this summer. They are an unbelievable price (under $15), and also come in a gray color. I love the frill trim, and the stripes make it easy to pair any top with it! I paired it with this pretty, feminine (also from and under $15) – which also comes in red and white. To make the outfit look even MORE chic, I decided to go with these clear  (but also would be so cute with simple sandals!) & styled it with a .
