CJ said yaaas! To the suit ๐ I already have my wedding dresses down (ceremony dress & reception dress), so it was time to pick an outfit for CJ! I researched a ton of different groom // groomsmen suit brands & companies, and ultimately decided The Groomsman Suit was exactly what we were looking for!
The Groomsman Suit has showrooms in Chicago, Philadelphia, Denver, Washington DC, and Boston (see details on the locations HERE). It was so convenient for us to head to the Chicago showroom to have CJ actually try them on in person.
When we arrived, we were both so impressed with the showroom setup. It was decorated so well, and would be such a fun place for all the groomsmen to come and try on suits together. Sadly, none of CJ’s groomsmen live in Chicago, so they weren’t able to do that – BUT The Groomsman Suit actually has free exchanges which makes it so convenient for those out-of-towners.
Picking a suit was pretty simple for CJ – he already knew he wanted a lighter shade of blue for his suit (but they also have brilliant blue, navy blue, textured gray, charcoal gray, and classic black). We were tinkering back and forth with going with a tux (The Groomsman Suit has really nice ones!); it looked SO great on him, but we decided against it because it seemed too formal/serious-like for CJ’s personality. Also, the lighter blue suit would overall just match our country club venue // greenery aesthetic better! The fit and comfort was great – The Groomsman Suit carries a slim & modern fit (we went with the slim!), as well as a short or regular length (we went with the short!). There’s also a matching vest that can go with the suit, but after trying it on – we decided against it because we wanted his tie (from The Tie Bar) to show more.
The groomsmen will be getting these suits as well to match. CJ & I really liked how their suits are such great quality, but also SUPER affordable. We didn’t want the groomsmen breaking the bank for our wedding – and the suits cost $194 ($129 for the jacket + $65 for pants), which is amazing!! No point in renting when the price is that great for a suit.
Also – another thing that I loved is that The Groomsman Suit has matching toddlers’ suits too! My sweet little nephew is my ring boy and he’ll be wearing this one to match CJ. Eeeeek can’t wait!
I think CJ looks soooo handsome in it. I can’t wait to see him in it again when I’m walking down the aisle <3
