It’s national wedding planning day! In honor on the *holiday*, I thought I’d share all my wedding planning progress. We are approx now 9ish months out from the wedding, and let me tell ya – I’ve been a busy lady! Juggling a full time job, a part time job blogging, and being a part time wedding planner – it’s no secret that it’s not the easiest. I will say I haven’t been stressed the least bit, but I do feel like at all times I should be doing something. Maybe I am feeling a tad overwhelmed because there are so many darn good choices out there for literally everything. Wedding planning is difficult for those who are indecisive. Any other bride-to-be’s feel my pain?! Haha.
Anyways, for those of y’all interested – here’s what I’ve accomplished so far:
- Asked our bridal party (bridesmaids + groomsmen) – they all said yes ๐
- Chose the bridesmaids dresses – they are getting gold sequin dresses from Revelry!
- Ordered my wedding dress + reception dress! I literally can’t wait to share them with you! But for now…y’all will have to wait ๐ Read all about my wedding dress shopping experience + tips for other bride-to-be’s here.
- Chose the groomsmen suits – they are getting light blue suits from The Groomsmen Suit!
- Ordered CJ’s suit – also from The Groomsmen Suit. Still on the hunt for his shirt, ties, belt, and shoes. If y’all have any recos, send them my way please! Read the full post HERE.
- Picked my venue and date! After touring 13 venues (thanks parentals for coming with me to all of them!), there was just one that far exceeded the others that I was just absolutely in love with [keeping the venue a secret for now ;)]. We’re getting married in December 2020 in Boca Raton, FL where some of my extended family lives. Getting married in 2020 was a must for me (I’m a sucker for a cool year), so I’m thankful there was still availability at my dream venue. Plus – the weather is amazing during the winter in Florida ๐
- Signed with my photographer, and…*surprise*! She’s the one that took these photos. I filtered through several South Florida photographers’ pics on IG, and absolutely loved Jessica’s aesthetic when I found her page. We actually had the chance to meet up when I was touring venues in Florida, and she took some blog photos for me! Jessica is so talented and I can’t wait for her to take all our wedding pics. Until then, give her a follow on IG!
- Signed with my videographer, Dana Lynn photography. I stumbled on a wedding video from the company that was at my exact venue – I fell in love with it and it just made me want to cry! Y’all I’m not kidding when I say I’ve watched probably 100s of wedding videos to find the right videographer for me – and my final choice came down to really liking how this videographer had experience at my venue + their incredible skills capturing footage/editing.
- Ordered my wax seals from Artisaire. Thanks to everyone who voted in my poll when I was debating on which design to get. I’ll be doing a separate blog post about this company soon – but they have amazing customer service and their wax seals are absolutely gorgeous. So many customizable details, colors and choices! Such an elegant must-have for those save the dates/invitations.
- Decided where/when I want my Bachelorette: Vegas, duh! Coming to y’all October 2020 ๐
Almost finalized:
- Book Makeup/Hair
- Book trip to NYC in April to take engagement photos
- Pick my Save the Dates + Invitations designs
Next on my list:
- Make edits to our Wedding Website
- Pick an Officiant
- Pick a DJ
- Pick a day-of wedding coordinator
- Pick floral / decor company
Stay tuned for more wedding updates – and as always, thanks for following along my journey to marriage!!
Oh – and we officially coined our hashtag, #lovewillfindaWEI
