I may be a New Yorker Texan at heart, but I’ve lived in Chicago for almost a year now (wild, right). As a blogger, it’s a MUST for us to find instagrammable spots in our own city. I live downtown, so of course I’m around the cliche photoshoot locations in Chicago: the bean, the river, Navy Pier, Millenium Park, Grant Park, the famous Chicago sign…but what about the more *secret* // hidden locations near Chicago that are super photoworthy? I’m excited to share two amazing photoshoot spots in Chicago with y’all! Whether you live here or are visiting here, be sure to check these places out.
#1: Bahai House of Worship in Wilmette, IL
This place is absolutely stunning, y’all! Photos don’t do it justice. There were a good amount of people when we went (as you can see in a few photos), but the building has multiple sides- so it’s easy to get less people in your shots.
#2: Leaning Tower of Niles in Niles, IL
Illinois or Italy? I think this is the coolest hidden gem spot in Illinois – I feel like not too many people know about it! It’s like a smaller version of The Leaning Tower of Pisa. When we went, there were only a few people taking photos. This building is actually a YMCA…what. And it’s totally in a random town, in the middle of nowhere.
By the way, we took all these photos using my ! I swear by this one – so easy to set up, travel with, and the perfect height (extends up to 60″). It’s perfect to have during these times so that strangers aren’t touching your phone to help you take a pic. The best purchase ever!! Linked
