As many of y’all know, I moved to Chicago in November of 2019. My fiancé and I moved here for an amazing job opportunity he got, but we moved here without close friends or family in the city. I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t been tough being here without our loved ones nearby, but I value all my relationships and make it a priority to keep in contact – no matter how far they live from me. One of the ways I like to remind them that I’m always thinking of them is by sending physical, hand written cards to each and everyone of them. I feel like it’s a way to spread joy and send love from afar, no matter the distance. Sending cards has really helped me deal with the fact that many of our friends & family are sadly so far from us!
Even with the world growing more digital each day – the importance and joy of sending physical cards has never changed. I mean let’s be real, who doesn’t enjoy sending and receiving a handwritten card from a loved one? It’s the best feeling ever! I get so happy dropping a card off in the mail, and over-the-top excited waiting for them to receive it. There’s just something about sending a card that puts me in such a good mood, since I know I’ll be making someone’s day when it arrives. I also love that sending handwritten cards gives that extra personal touch. That’s why I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to partner with Hallmark. I’ve been buying Hallmark cards ever since I could write, and I love that Hallmark truly has a card for every style and every relationship.
Hallmark cards have a way of making anyone feel special, supported, and loved! There’s something about cards that allow people to help express their feelings in situations where it may be hard to find the right words (as many or as little as you want) – in every scenario! Cards truly help people connect on a deeper level, and show the recipient how much you care about them. There are so many everyday things that you might not think about sending a card for, but that it’s worth sending to someone! I don’t know about y’all, but I save every card that I get – to hold onto as a positive memory. With the crazy year that 2020 has been, I think we could ALL use a bit of cheering up with a sweet Hallmark card.
P.S. If you haven’t sent a physical card in a while, here’s your reminder to make someone smile!

A huge thanks to Hallmark for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own.
