Welp, it’s December, so of course it’s been getting pretty chilly here in New York City! Coming from a gal that has lived in Minneapolis, Chicago, AND New York, I will say it’s always so so important to invest in a great coat for the winter, especially if you live in a city that gets to the low temps. I personally am always on the go running errands & walking around, so a warm coat is definitely an essential piece in my closet.
I wore this Ellen Tracy quilt puffer coat out & about this past weekend (it was in the 40s) and it definitely passed the warmth test! I decided to get this gorgeous black color, but it also comes in a pretty pink. I must admit, black is my go-to for pieces that I need to wear over and over, which is definitely a winter coat. I love that this Ellen Tracy quilt puffer looks so classic and chic, and sizing is true to size. I’m wearing a size medium here – I do like my coats a bit bigger, so that there’s enough space for you to pack on a couple of layers underneath if needed. The fabric of the coat is made out of polyester and the best part is that you can just tell it’s really great quality (plus, it’s super affordable!). I really like how this Ellen Tracy coat is pretty versatile as well – wear it over a sweater & jeans for a casual day or rock it on top of a dress & tights for a night out. My fiance even complimented the way it looks on me ๐
