Hey friends! I guess I haven’t been blogged since I was pregnant…ha oops. But any new mom can back me up here, things have been a bit busy. Busy, but amazing! My little Brielle came into the world on May 13, 2023 (fashionably late, I may add) – and I can’t even describe how incredible it’s been being a mama to my sweet girl. I’m officially back to work – so navigating the working mom lifestyle currently.
Becoming a mama has been the most rewarding, but also the toughest thing! I’ve had my fair share of struggles – especially when Brielle was in the newborn phase – but one thing that was never really a struggle for either of us, and that has been so special to me, has been breastfeeding. Brielle was always an expert latcher from Day 1 & a good eater at that lol. We went to a lactation consultant for a few sessions and Brie became a natural pro. She refused bottles for the longest time, but has recently taken them since I’ve gone back to work (phew). Nevertheless, she solely drinks breastmilk and yes – a breastfed only baby does come with a lot of sacrifices – but it’s important to me to continue this rewarding journey with her!
I know time flies by so fast, and of course I will always want to remember this new, beautiful experience (and journey) with Brielle as she grows up. Somehow I stumbled on Milk Couture Co on social, and I was so amazed with how incredibly gorgeous the jewelry was! I had never heard of breastmilk jewelry before, but it’s absolutely amazing and so special to be able to have & wear a piece of your breastfeeding journey forever! The owner of Milk Couture Co, Cait, is a total girlboss and SO sweet. She truly cares about each and every jewelry piece she creates + the story behind each. You can choose to put whatever you want in your jewelry – from breastmilk, formula, ash, dried flowers, hair, placenta, etc – anything that you want to keepsake forever. Milk Couture Co truly creates stunning pieces for all mamas – breastfeeding, formula feeding, pumping, have an angel baby, etc. It’s just so amazing.
The process is so simple too – send 1/2 ounce of thawed/room temperature breastmilk in a breastmilk storage bag and triple bag it. Place it in a bubble mailer & mail it to her! As you can imagine, the process is very detailed so the current wait time is about 8-12 weeks so definitely recommend ordering sooner rather than later. This is a great gift (hint hint with the holidays coming up)!! You also can rush order and decrease waiting by about 4 weeks. You can choose from rings, necklaces, earrings & more – but my personal faves are definitely the rings ๐
I got the Seraphine ring and Honor ring. Photos don’t even do these jewelry pieces justice. In person, the details are INSANE. They’re so pretty and perfect. And the best part is, you can customize them however you want. Here are my ring details for inspo:
Seraphine ring: breast milk + white shimmer, gold vermeil, cabochon
Honor ring: breast milk + crushed pink opal + opal shimmer, gold vermeil, cabochon
