Hi there, I’m Olivia! Welcome to The Livstyle, an outlet for me to express my personal style through fashion, beauty and other lifestyle tidbits.
A little bit about me…
I am originally from Houston, Texas and a proud University of Texas alumni (hook ‘em!). Throughout college, I held multiple internships/brand ambassador positions at various fashion brands. On a trip to New York Fashion Week in 2011, I was given the opportunity to go backstage at the BCBG fashion show. Ever since then, I knew it was my lifelong dream and aspiring career goal to one day end up in NYC, the fashion capital of the U.S. After college, I moved to Minneapolis (home of the Mall of America, may I add) in pursuit of my marketing career. In the summer of 2015, my dream turned to reality when I moved to NYC for a digital marketing opportunity in the fashion industry. I worked with bloggers on a daily basis from the brand side, and they really inspired and encouraged me to start my own. My career has been across the fashion, beauty, and lifestyle industries (I previously worked at Target HQ, Mall of America, New York & Company, Covergirl, Girlboss, and Honey-Can-Do). I feel so lucky to work full-time in the retail/fashion industry at the *iconic brand* Macy’s, leading the Style Crew influencer marketing program strategy. What can I say – I’m passionate about influencer marketing!
I lived in the amazing city of NYC for 4.5 years, moved to the Windy City of Chicago for 15 months, moved back to NYC, and have been living here again since Feb 2021.
I got engaged in Nov 2019 to the love of my life, CJ Wei (read all about the proposal HERE), postponed my Dec 2020 wedding to Dec 2021, and am ~finally~ *officially* Mrs. Wei (wedding recap post HERE // all wedding content HERE)!
Now on to my blog story…
I launched this blog because I am the biggest fashion enthusiast/shopaholic and so excited to share what I am passionate about! The Livstyle is meant to inspire other fashionistas and spark style ideas through vivid imagery and encouraging words. What I love about fashion the most is that it gives everyone the ability to truly express their personality and individuality. I would describe my clothing style as chic, feminine and on-trend with a bit of edge – budget friendly and affordable (who doesn’t love to find a good deal?), with the occasional luxury splurge! I admire any piece that catches my eye and is distinctive (accessories really are a girl’s best friend).
I work full-time and blog part-time, and even though I feel like I’m busy alllll the time (hello late nights and busy weekends)…I wouldn’t trade it for anything! <3
Thanks so much for stopping by! I welcome and appreciate all feedback – feel free to drop me a note on your thoughts anytime.
